yeah, my date?

Best.

Idea.

Ever.

Ok, obviously I need to make this clear. I am not allowing the 2YG whip me. Yes, I changed my plans mostly due to her comment...but also because I haven't really gotten to see her at all this week. Only in passing. So, let's analyze what would've happened Friday night if I would've partied as planned.
1. Drank heavily with friends.
2. Become obnoxiously drunk.
3. Realize how much I miss the 2YG and suddenly have the urge to spend time with her.
4. Call her several times at 3 a.m.
5. Make an ass of myself.

Or...

I can spend time with her and follow through on a date I've had planned for quite some time, but the weather and the circumstances may have only now made it possible.

More details to come.....maybe....

Tomorrow I get to start an exciting venture with Dan -- the trombone player I've mentioned a few times earlier this year. You see, Dan is in the unfortunate predicament of wanting to have the occasional social drink, but not knowing what he likes. Thus far, he has stuck with the various schmirnoff and Mike's beverages, but doesn't really like them. He's tried various domestic beers and doesn't like them either. And he really doesn't want to go the mixed drink route just yet. What he wants is something that is a socially acceptable drink...and it's easy. So tomorrow we're going by the liquor store after band. I'm trying to think of a beer that a new beer drinker will like. I'm not sure if that's possible. Keep in mind, folks, I'm not talking about buying a 30 of 'stones. I'm talking about a $7 or $8 six-pack. I highly doubt what I like in beer will match his tastes. I've formed my palate over 3 or 4 years. I started off hating beer, and now I've been known to stand in front of the beer cooler in a liquor store for 30 minutes, while trying to decide what I want to go with.

At any rate, I think I'm going to recommend that he go with Hornsby's (hard apple cidar) for the time being. The Waverly liquor store doesn't have a varied enough stock for a beginner. If you have any suggestions, help me out. I think he could easily become a beer drinker, he just needs the proper introductions. What do you think?

In other news, I had originally planned to get absolutely wasted tomorrow night for the first time since October 1st. But when I voiced my idea to the 2YG, it didn't go over well. She didn't say I couldn't do it, but it was one of those...."Oh. I thought we were going to hang out on Friday. That's fine. I guess I'll just do something by myself." Needless to say, I've since changed my plans and have set up a date of sorts. Oh well. She has to go to a musical until 10ish so I can still drink a little and hang-out with people up until then. So it goes, I guess.

Well, I should probably try to read some World Lit. for a while. *sigh* whatever.

Ok, I'm going to post what I originally wasn't going to. So today as I'm walking to my first class, 2YG calls out my name in front of the library and comes jogging over to me. She wanted to know if I'd be her "nap date" this afternoon (on a side-note, I'm a self-proclaimed Nap-o-holic. I love naps in the middle of the day, what can I say? And she knows this...). Of course I say yes. So anyway, it was good as naps usually are...but then tonight I was just finishing up doing homework when she IM's me and was like "hope you're having a good night, I'm going to bed....minus a nap date." The reference totally went over my head, and I innocently respond "minus?"

Loooooong pause.......

then she finally responds "minus." and signs off. About 2 seconds later I realized what she was talking about and saw how my response could definitely have been taken completely the opposite of what I meant. hahahaha....ooops! I wonder what was running through her head?!

B-E-A-S-T-I-E. What up Mike D?
Aw yeah, that's me!
I got bass and pork and beans.
Always got the new routines.
I get it, I got it, I know it's good.
The rhymes I write, you wish you would!

Ah yes, timeless lyrics from the masters themselves....

And now onto something completely different. I'm finding myself wrestling once again with what's ok to write on this site. I'm constantly aware of what I post and what I don't post...and since I'm back to not caring what certain people think, I guess it shouldn't really matter anymore, right? Hmmm...that may have made zero sense to some of you....let me explain.

So during this summer....during the rough, rough summer, I started a second blog. An auxiliary blog that only a few of you had the link to. I've since stopped writing on there for a variety of reasons, but mainly because I don't think it was doing me any good. So here I am. Struggling with the same stuff as before. Why does it matter? It doesn't. But I'm still conscious of mentioning the 2YG too many times. What can I say, though? She's become a major part of my life now.

So anyway, my point is....I'm trying to limit my stories involving the 2YG because it becomes monotonous for you, the reader....just as it would when I write about the roommate too much, or the Denver girl too much...or whatever. On a side note, I haven't written about either of those two much lately, in case you hadn't noticed. Know why? They're dating and I don't really see them much anymore...kinda took the fun out of everything. Of course, I don't really see much of anyone any more, because of....well, you know....2YG. Ha. Anyway. That's my story. Now I gotta finish up my homework and go to bed. Peace.

Sorry for the lack of posts recently. I haven't really had a ton of extra time, though. Yesterday I had class and whatever all day, then band, then band council dinner, then the 2nd year girl (2YG) called me on the way back to my room and wanted to know what I was doing...long story short, her VCR was messed up and so we watched a movie that she needed to watch for class at the library...but we didn't finish it, 'cause she had to work....at the library. So during her 2 hour shift, I finally started on this big project that I was supposed to be working on for the last 2 months or so...and then we finished watching the movie. And then it was about 11 p.m....and I went back to my room, diddled around for a bit, and then went to bed at midnight....early, yes...but I didn't get my evening nap due to spending time with 2YG.

So that was yesterday. Today I had class, then lifting, then 2YG time, then band, then supper....and now here I am. I have 2 days worth of Grammars homework I have to do, 30 pages of World Lit to read, a story idea due for Journalism tomorrow, and I have to study for a Journalism quiz as well. Good times, good times.

That's the update. Peace.

Ahh yess...if you could see me right now, I'd have a big 'ol smile on my face. It's good to be back on campus. I can't wait to see the 2nd year girl again. She's on her way back from South Dakota, though...so I probably won't see her until after I get off work at 10 p.m. Bummer...but oh well. I'm getting my room all cleaned up, though, so she doesn't have to wade through my crap. That and I am avoiding finishing my homework. Oh well. Anyway, I was just updating like I said I would.

More details to follow....
