Man, these past few days have been a little bit of a rollercoaster. I was talking with one of my friends that did Wartburg West this summer and she did the internship that I was looking at....but then she told me some bad news.....I needed a car to get to the place. ARGH!!! So then I emailed my prof.'s out there and they told me that I could take a bus within 1/2 mile of the internship, but it was moot anyway 'cause the place couldn't guarantee a spot for me quite yet...so now we're looking at another place....so I guess I'll have to go with this other internship...oh well.
Sorry for the lack of posts...with all of these roommates (I'm living with 7 other guys, if you didn't know) we find a lot of stuff to do. Like, we have a fooseball table here....I've gotten pretty good, I must say....and I dunno....we play a lot of sports.....but it's harder to find time to post as opposed to when I only had one roommate, ya know? There's a lot less quiet time. It's always busy and noisy and something going on from when you get up until when you go to bed.
We were planning on having a little party tonight, but our room is a huuuge mess. Next weekend is Homecoming for us, and one tradition here is all of the rooms that have large windows that face the street, paint their windows....so that's what we're in the process of doing. The team we're playing is Luther, the Norse or whatever....so on our 3 big windows, we have a giant Wartburg "W" in the middle, and then a Knight riding a horse (we're the Knights) and the horse has a smurf in it's mouth. And then on one side it says "USE THE FORCE, PUMMEL THE NORSE" and then on the other, "RIDE YOUR HORSE, BEAT THE NORSE." There's a little inside joke with that second one....because when we were trying to think of words that rimed with Norse, one of the words was "whores".....and "horse" sounds like "whores"....and then plus, the Wartburg "W" lines up with "horse"....so I dunno....we think it's funny. yea....anyway, time for class.
