Someone recently asked "what the hell is up with the gas prices?" Here is my response:
The gas prices are high because the price the gas stations pay for it is high. Minnesota has a limit as to how low gas stations can sell gas, that's why nobody in MN can sell it at a cheap price. Gradually throughout the week, the price will go down to the point where the gas station is selling the gas at about the same price they are buying it, thus making absolutly no money. At this point, the price jumps up about 10-15 cents (usually on a wednesday or thursday at 9am, but sometimes a monday) and the process begins all over again..........thats whats with the gas prices.

sonofawhitemanfromtown............thats it, I'm calling the store........

I continue to stew about it as I sit here longer........but I still think it is a 4-9pm shift. I'm almost positive they would ask for permission before schedualing me for an overnight shift, since that was not the position for which I was hired.

So I was just sitting here debating when I was supposed to go to work tomorrow. I knew it's 4-9. What I wasn't sure was if it was 4-9am or 4-9pm. The last time I looked at the schedule was on tuesday. Then it only said 4-9, so that would normally mean a 4-9pm shift. The only reason I was doubting myself is because we are currently looking to hire someone to work the 4-9am shift. See how that would make you start to think they wanted you for a morning shift? My deal was that I didn't want to not show up at 4am, thus getting fired or something. But then I remembered how the schedule works. See, the overnight shifts are considered "third shift," even though they actually are mostly the next day. So if I was scheduled for a 4-9am shift on Friday, I would actually work 4-9 Saturday morning......confusing, I know. The reason that would NOT work is because I work a 7-3 shift on Saturday.

more details to come.

So guess what I get to do tomorrow.........go do cig "stings" with my manager. He drives me around to area S.A's and I buy cigs just to see if the cashier checks my I.D. correctly, but then I say something lame like....."oh crap, I forgot money." and then leave. Personally, I'm looking forward to it. It's gonna be fun I think. Plus, I get paid while riding around in plain clothes. That's right ladies and gents tomorrow I will shed my navy blue "gas station pants" and don JEANS AND A T-SHIRT!!!! YEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!!!

sooo.........I turn 20 on thursday. 20......can you believe that? Think back when you were like 12. 20 seemed sooo old! It's weird.....when I think of myself, I still see myself as an 8th grader......of course, that may be because that was the last year I lived in Rockford. But still. 20. Thats crazy. Once I hit 21, I don't want to get any older. Just stay 21 the rest of my life. That would be great.....
Speaking of 8th grade and my birthday, my dad and I are planning to go shoot some clay pigeons on thursday.....and possibly shoot the rifle. I say 8th grade because that was the last time I shot our shotgun....much less the .22. So needless to say I'm a little nervous about how I'll perform. I shall be interesting....
