Well, ok. I'm home on Fall Break right now, that's why there's been a lack of posts. Sorry about that. Not only is our internet at home slow, but it's a pain to use...so I don't, unless I'm checking my email. But I have a little break right now, so I figured I'd use it to update for you all.

Wednesday I had two tests and then about an hour break to pick up a package from my oldest bro (thanks eric! I'll email you about it soon...I'm a little slow on that front, sorry!) and say goodbye to the 2nd year girl, and then I headed out with my ride home at around 2. I think that was our earliest start ever. That night I played tennis with my dad....he beat me as usual....but it was good to run around and stuff. Especially since I didn't get to lift Wednesday. And that was about it for that day.

Thursday I had to get up early to get my teeth cleaned (woohoo!) and then I was able to take a nap in the afternoon. My grandparents came later and then we ate and did random stuff all night...and then I did some basic lifting that night....I fear I'm going to fall behind...but I guess I can only do what I can do, ya know?

Today was my brother's swearing in by the MN Bar Association, to become a licensed Lawyer. Exciting stuff. Kinda. It was a long ceramony in which not a whole lot happened. So it goes with graduation type stuff, though. Now my dad and grandpa are looking for a new (used) car because our current SUV has a big repair needed and my dad kind of decided it was more worth it to trade it in and get a different one, than to go through with all of the repairs. Whatever. I was supposed to go with him...but I think I had a little too much family time lately, because he and I were butting heads on a prior subject and I just had to walk away. Enough of that. Plus, it would've been like another 4 hours in the stupid car place today looking at cars....even if they didn't get one. No thanks.

Tomorrow I'm going to Minneapolis to work with my brother on some project or something. I'm not sure what I'm doing, but I'm getting paid...so that's cool. Alrighty....I probably won't post before I go back...but once I get to school I'll probably have something else to share.

Oh yea, and I cut my hair. It's not long anymore. Yeah. Granted, it's not as short as it was during high school...but it's definitely not long. I'd call it shaggy...if anything. Hmmm....I'm not sure how I feel about it...but I can always grow it back out again. Whatever....k peace out.

So for the latest issue of the Wartburg Trumpet, I wrote a column that was kind of about the end of the world. I honestly think it's the best column I've ever written (check it out here). But when I read through it in the actual hard-copy version, it ends in the middle of the very last sentence. No period. Just "When the Earth shakes your city and destroys everything you know, suddenly that" and then my name at the end.

WHAT THE HECK! Not only does it absolutely destroy everything I wrote above it -- 'cause that's the clincher line -- it means I can't use it for my portfolio. Screwed from both angles. I'm pissed.

Well, another weekend has come and gone. This one was boring, for obvious reasons. But oh well. I got some stuff done. Kinda. Tonight I actually did my Grammars homework for the first time in a long time. It's so stupidly easy right now, though, that I feel like I shouldn't have to do it. But I did. It took me 1.5 hours for 13 pages of work. Reeeediculous. After that I realized I had forgotten my other homework so I couldn't start studying for my World Lit test on Wednesday. Bummer. So instead I revised a service trip poster for the 2nd year girl. I had to add some more info, and then I had an epiphany and fixed something else I hadn't realized was wrong. And the funny thing was....when she came by tonight she was all pissed because her roommates were making fun of the first poster because of the fault that I just seen...so mid-sentence of her anti-roommate rant, I pulled out the new poster. I win again.

Anyway, enough about that....except there's nothing really else to report. Our Brass Quintet played today in HAMPTON....yeah, some smaller town. 5,000 people or so, though. Meh. We played well and they liked us. And we got paid. Big time. Booyea. And we got a free lunch. Double Booyea. Anyway, that's it. Peace out.

Well, today I got three things done. I researched and wrote a column for this week's Wartburg Trumpet....that took me around 3 hours. Later on, I started working on my resume and made some major, major head-way. Maybe I'll email it to myself over Fall Break so I can finish it then. The last thing I did was go grocery shopping. And spent 50 bucks. 50 bucks that I really don't have to spend right now, but oh well. The old Corey would've gone hungry more often and just dealt with it. But not anymore. If I'm hungry, I eat. It's that simple.

Anyway, it's nearing on 1 a.m. and I should go to bed...though I have a feeling that I'll get a call from the roommates to go pick them up from a party. Too bad. I dropped them off and attempted to go in just to be polite and wish the roommate that was throwing it a happy birthday. But no, he had to be a dick like he normally is (especially when he's been drinking) and threatened to pour beer on me because I wasn't wearing a costume. So I left. Screw him. I wasn't planning on going anyway, I was just trying to be nice. The roommates that need a ride are an unfortunate casualty of the jerk roommate. They'll get home safe, that's not a worry. But it'll probably end up being a headache for the jerk roommate. Good.
