I never posted how my second date with the 4th year girl went! It was fun as usual. We had some pizza at my place, then went to a movie in Cedar Falls. Then the plan was that we were going to go get some ice cream and then I was going to give her something, but the stupid ice cream place closed early! ARGH! so instead we drove to the Waverly Hy-vee and got ice cream for ourselves and then ate it in a secluded area of the student union. That was good. Then we went back to her place and hung out with her roommates for a while and then watched yet ANOTHER movie. But that was because she had never seen Ocean's Eleven and she thought the preview for Ocean's Twelve looked pretty cool. Plus, by watching it in her suite, we were able to cuddle up on the couch :) But, alas, one of her roommates, who has absolutely no sense of respect for privacy, plopped down on the couch beside us and watched the movie with us. I mean COME ON! I don't mind usually, but we were on a date. And we only got 2 dates together. I wanted to scream, but it wasn't my place to. That's the second time that roommate has done that to us. The guys in my room (now old room, I guess, since I moved out to go to Wartburg West) like to refer to it as "The Becky Block." I didn't know the 4th year girl's roommates have had similar problems until I was hanging out there a couple of days ago and the subject came up. Now it's kind of an inside joke....you gotta avoid "The Block!"
So that was a good last date. Then we had finals week and it was stressful all around. The 4th year girl....dangit....k, her name is Ann....I'm sick of writing 4th year girl....ok, Ann was going to leave wednesday night. I didn't leave until Friday afternoon....and thats when she ended up leaving too. So that meant I got to hang out with her on Wednesday AND thursday night. It was awesome. Especially Thursday night.
Since that was my last night on campus, my roommates took me out to eat and then threw a party for me (plus bought me a case of Budweiser, but I shared that with everybody). The problem was, I really wanted to spend as much time as possible with Ann that night. So when the guys were in the middle of watching a movie I had already seen, I got up and left and said I was going to go get Ann and bring her back to the room...which I did....eventually. I think they were kind of pissed. But in defense of myself, when we did get back to the room, everybody left to go to their own parties and that was barely at 10. So in the end I did get to hang out a lot with Ann and she didn't leave my place until about 3 a.m.......and I was sad....so I went and talked with Meredith for a while, since I really hadn't got to talk with her in a loooong time and that WAS my last night on campus....so that was good, except I was too tired to stay too long. So I said my goodbyes with her and then went back to my room to sleep. On the couch. Oh well.
Friday was the last day for me. My roommates and I played the First Annual East vs. West basketball tournament. In other words, a best 2 out of 3 games of the two rooms on the East side of our suite agains the two rooms on the West side. We dressed goofy and ran over to the gym and played for about an hour. I was spent after the first game and my team, East, lost...but it was really close. And I had fun. And then it was all goodbyes and whatnot and then my dad came and I moved out....and then as one last goodbye (but mostly because our deepfreeze was unplugged for christmas break) me and 3 other roommates that were still around took an icee shot. It was good. Then I left. *sigh* I'm a little sad, but you'll have that. Now it's time to look to the future and enjoy Denver. Hopefully Ann and I will be able to hang out again during May Term....hopefully.....

This is very very premature and I shouldn't even post about it, since I have no idea if it will even happen, but I want you guys' opinion on something. Ok, so for my Computer Graphic Design class, we had to make a final project that encorporated Adobe Illustrater, InDesign, and Photoshop. I decided to do a coloring book....I Wartburg Coloring book, nonetheless. So I've been working on this coloring book for many hours now and it's almost done. But the reason for this post is a suggestion from my CGD prof. Upon hearing about my idea for a project, he said that the head of the Wartburg Alumni Dept. has been asking about a Wartburg Coloring book for children. This guy happens to be the uncle of one of my roommates. So I showed him some of my pages that I had done thus far and asked him what he thought. Well, he was pumped up about it and said for me to bring the finished product by his office this week and we would discuss it.
Now I'm super pumped because there's a possibility that this thing could get published and be in the bookstore. There's a slimer possibility that I could get some money out of this. Now, what my question is, in the off chance that money is offered to me, should I ask for a set sum of money or a percentage of whatever amount is sold? Keeping in mind, of course, how much a coloring book is sold for...which can't be that much.
So anyway, I know it's a huge assumption to make to think that I would get published or even get money for it....but I would like to have something in mind in case this guy asks me what I want....so yea.....just leave me a message on AIM. THANKS!
