Once again...when you assume, it makes an ASS out of U and ME. Not really this time, but kind of. Not that it really matters, but I forgot more than Rockford and/or Lakeville people read this site. So, yea....I maybe made an unsupported assumption and was called on it....but then again, I don't really know. I'm over it. Because I don't care about that whole situation either way. Sorry if that seemed like it was in code, but the person who reads this will understand.
In other news, I went to a Waterloo Blackhawks Hockey game tonight. It was fun to watch a hockey game again...even though it really wasn't that great of a game. The arena was a fun place to watch a game because it was kind of small and you were really close to the ice. I also got to drink there and that was fun....kind of. One of my friends that I went with just recently turned 21 and he wanted to get drunk while we were there --- we had a DD, don't worry. But I, on the other hand, really only wanted to have one or two beers and nurse them throughout the game. You know, drinking socially and being relaxed. You could tell he hasn't really ever been in any drinking situations except for parties. There's a time to get drunk and there's a time to be smart. So what happened? I had my two beers and he made an ass of himself. Whatever...to each his own, right?
In other news, I have two band concerts this weekend. My parents were supposed to come and hear me tomorrow night. But that isn't going to happen. I'm kind of disappointed...but it isn't going to be that great of a concert anyway. So oh well.
Ok, I'm going to bed. HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!..........maybe..........

Yet another crazy/scary thing happened in our room today that is worth posting. One sacrifice of living in the suite that I live in now is that our bedrooms are kind of small and our beds are bunked...but we still do have 2 bathrooms, 2 showers, 2 toilets, and 4 sinks for 8 guys...so having small bedrooms isn't that bad. So anyway, for all of you that sleep in the bottom bunk of your bunk-bed, that small, nagging worry in the back of your head that the top bunk will fall and kill you....happened tonight in my room. Only, obviously, I wasn't killed. Fortunately, I was working on my Computer Graphic Design project (it's going tons better now and I understand photoshop). Meanwhile, my roommate and his girlfriend were taking a nap (yes, only a nap....) when the top bunk that they were on suddenly dropped down a few inches and woke them up. Then seconds later the whole thing collapsed and fell onto the bottom bunk -- my bunk. Thankfully, nobody was hurt...but the way it fell, if I was in my bed both of my legs would have been broken. Can you say LAWSUIT? If it wouldn't hurt me so much, I would jump out the window just so I could break my legs and reap the millions of dollars that I could get. Foozy, do you see any potential here? Craziness. Now there's a collapsed bed where I'm supposed to sleep and my roommate is going to spend the night at his GF's place. What a pain in the butt.

Ok, I was in a weird mood last time I posted...but I'm over all of that now....maybe because I got to talk with that particular person for a good 2 hours tonight and that was fun.
Something weird happened tonight. I called one of the phones in our suite from my cell phone as I was walking back from the library. It rang like 5 times and then someone picked up, but I couldn't really hear them so I hung up. Well when I tried calling again a second later, the line was busy so I just thought whatever, right? When I got up to our suite, the dude I called was on the phone listening with his hand over the microphone. Apparently when I called, it rang but when I hung up their phone switched to another frequency or something and did like a 3-way calling with another phone on campus. After listening in for a couple of minutes, my roommate tried to talk to them just to see what they'd do. The result? They couldn't hear him! How freaky is that! Who knows how many times that has happened around here! Who knows who maybe listening in on your conversation without you knowing it. Wowzas.
Alright, I decided it's time for the weekend update...even though I kinda already did in my last couple of posts. I'm back on campus now, obviously, and I went and spent only about 45 minutes in the library to get some reading done. Over break I did a bunch of reading, but it really wasn't homework reading. Instead it was covering a few chapters in physics to make sure I understood what was really going on. Plus, I read about 25 pages of this play I'm reading for my Brit. Lit class and then I'm doing an extra credit paper on it. The whole class has to read the play anyway, but our prof. decided (in a move that was extremely out of character) to allow us to write a paper on the play to take the place of our lowest paper score. We write one paper out of class and one in class, usually, and the average of those two papers counts for 1/6 of our grade. Well my first paper, I know I wrote about it earlier...the one where I depended on my skill to pump out an "A" paper at the last minute and it blew up in my face...that paper ended up not being so bad...I got a B+ on it. But that's not good enough if I'm going to get in "A" in the class like I am striving for. Especially when I suck it up on my tests. Usually my paper grades compensate for my test grades. It probably sounds silly, I know. But I really want to get at least one "A" in a class with this prof. This is my last class with him in my college career (this is my 4th, over 4 semesters) and so far I've gotten an A-, B+, and A-. Yea. So close, but not.
So I did reading over my break, but not really having to do with homework. Now I'm all caught up with reading homework, but not for my Computer Graphic Design course, where I have a rough draft due for an Adobe Photoshop project due on Thursday. And I haven't started. And I tried to start tonight and I realized I have no idea how to work Photoshop. And that sucks, 'cause now I only have 3 more days to work on it. YIKES!
Alrighty, that's my update. I have to wake up at 7:15 for my first class tomorrow, so if I fall asleep right now I can still get like 6 hours of sleep. Yea right......*sigh*
