Ok, I was in a weird mood last time I posted...but I'm over all of that now....maybe because I got to talk with that particular person for a good 2 hours tonight and that was fun.
Something weird happened tonight. I called one of the phones in our suite from my cell phone as I was walking back from the library. It rang like 5 times and then someone picked up, but I couldn't really hear them so I hung up. Well when I tried calling again a second later, the line was busy so I just thought whatever, right? When I got up to our suite, the dude I called was on the phone listening with his hand over the microphone. Apparently when I called, it rang but when I hung up their phone switched to another frequency or something and did like a 3-way calling with another phone on campus. After listening in for a couple of minutes, my roommate tried to talk to them just to see what they'd do. The result? They couldn't hear him! How freaky is that! Who knows how many times that has happened around here! Who knows who maybe listening in on your conversation without you knowing it. Wowzas.
Alright, I decided it's time for the weekend update...even though I kinda already did in my last couple of posts. I'm back on campus now, obviously, and I went and spent only about 45 minutes in the library to get some reading done. Over break I did a bunch of reading, but it really wasn't homework reading. Instead it was covering a few chapters in physics to make sure I understood what was really going on. Plus, I read about 25 pages of this play I'm reading for my Brit. Lit class and then I'm doing an extra credit paper on it. The whole class has to read the play anyway, but our prof. decided (in a move that was extremely out of character) to allow us to write a paper on the play to take the place of our lowest paper score. We write one paper out of class and one in class, usually, and the average of those two papers counts for 1/6 of our grade. Well my first paper, I know I wrote about it earlier...the one where I depended on my skill to pump out an "A" paper at the last minute and it blew up in my face...that paper ended up not being so bad...I got a B+ on it. But that's not good enough if I'm going to get in "A" in the class like I am striving for. Especially when I suck it up on my tests. Usually my paper grades compensate for my test grades. It probably sounds silly, I know. But I really want to get at least one "A" in a class with this prof. This is my last class with him in my college career (this is my 4th, over 4 semesters) and so far I've gotten an A-, B+, and A-. Yea. So close, but not.
So I did reading over my break, but not really having to do with homework. Now I'm all caught up with reading homework, but not for my Computer Graphic Design course, where I have a rough draft due for an Adobe Photoshop project due on Thursday. And I haven't started. And I tried to start tonight and I realized I have no idea how to work Photoshop. And that sucks, 'cause now I only have 3 more days to work on it. YIKES!
Alrighty, that's my update. I have to wake up at 7:15 for my first class tomorrow, so if I fall asleep right now I can still get like 6 hours of sleep. Yea right......*sigh*
