bbeastieboyfan88: I'm a stubborn pile of bunny poo?

well here's another kick in the pants for yah.......boy am I sick of these..........I mentioned a while ago a situation where we posted some pictures of scantily clad ladies on our floor board. Well, I just found out that the person that took down the pics was one of my best friends here.....and I feel like a complete jerk........

Sorry........that post really sucked.........but my creative juices are tapped right now......

Just got back from watching "Catch me if you can" with some Lakeville people that are visiting. Pretty fun, but I didnt' do my homework like I should have. Oh well.........

I stole these from a friend's AIM profile, but I thought they were cool and would pass them on.
- Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia
is the fear of long words.
- In Athens, Greece, a driver's license can be lifted by the law if the driver is deemed either 'poorly dressed' or 'unbathed'.
- On the island of Jersey it's against the law for a man to knit during the fishing season.
- In Alabama it is illegal to carry a comb in your pocket, because it may be used as a weapon. This comes after a 13 year old boy was killed when he was stabbed with a comb.
- In Michigan, it is illegal to chain an alligator to a fire hydrant.
- It is against the law to whale hunt in Oklahoma.

well my night just took a big turn into the pooper. My bro got orders to deploy this morning, then at noon, and then in the afternoon they were canceled. First they were for Kuwait, then they changed to Germany to prepare for a war in Iraq. My sister in-law also got a couple of variations in her deployment orders, but it still looks like she will be leaving soon for "somewhere in southeastern Asia". Eric wants to deploy so that they are gone at the same time. So that one isn't gone for a year and then gets back just for the other to leave for a year. That would super-suck. ARG..........we don't need this........ever........

so I have this new razor scooter and it is soo nice to have at school, but I haven't quite mastered it yet. Yesterday I tried to bunny hop over a foot and a half sunken corner of the sidewalk. In other words, I was cutting the corner, only jumping over it. Well, I got about 3/4's of the way and chunked the bottome of the scooter on the edge of the sidewalk. This caused me to immediatly stop and ALMOST fall on my face. It would've been better if A: I had successfully landed the jump, or B: there wasn't a bunch of people who stopped to watch me attempt and then horribly fail the trick.........sweet, sweet humiliation...........

Excuse me while I get out of the saddle on my high horse........

Someone (who I'll keep anonymous) just insinuated that Wartburg's courses are not hard, thus making my GPA complaints invalid. See, that is precisly why I am so mad; I worked hard for those grades and blew it on lessons. Do I need to go over my courses again? I thought I had beaten that subject to death, but I guess not. Western Civ. had no tests, but you had to write a 3 page paper every week for 14 weeks. You don't write one of those papers and you fail. I got one B+ and then all A's on those papers--Don't tell me I didn't work for those. Then there was the required course that Wartburg created for all freshmen. I have no idea how many papers we wrote, but it was a writing intensive course. Then, we had to write a final paper and do a presentation which was worth 60% of our grade. I got 2 points off on that and ended up getting something like 418 out of 436 points in the class. Finally, I had the infamous Sociology course. The tests were not that hard and I could take the reading load, but there was that 17 page term paper. Theres weeks worth of info on that paper, so I won't go into it, but I got an A on it. Don't even try and tell me that these courses were easy. You think a STATE college or University has HARDER classes than a private school? I'll go out on a limb here and say umm.....I DON'T THINK SO! Most of you that read this go to a state college/university and you can argue your case to me at bbeastieboyfan88@yahoo.com but I'm sure I will have an answer for anything you say.

7:35 class has nothing on me. It was tough getting up, but it will be a good class. So one down and 2 to go............

so hows this for a kick in the pants? I got an A in all three of my classes and passed in band. Then there is my trombone lessons. I get 1/4 of a credit for 2 semesters worth of lessons.....technically it is a class called "low brass methods". Because it is a class, I had to have the equivilant of a final. For all of you music people, I had a jury. For all of you non-music people, I had to play what I learned in front of other people. And I was graded on this. So basically I had to play an instrument that I've played since 4th grade and get a grade for it..........yup, I got a B+ on my jury, thus DESTROYING A POSSIBLE FRESHMAN YEAR, FIRST SEMESTER 4.0 GPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARRRRRRRRRRRG!!!! I totally got the shaft on that one.

On a different note, I was looking over my textbooks for my "Intro to Literary Studies" class that I have tomorrow at 7:35 a.m. I figure it will be like the LHS AP English course, only harder. I have mixed feelings on that, but it goes towards both a writing and English major. That is a good thing for me.........but the textbook looks frightenly similar to the one we used for AP English, which means I will be disecting and analyzing TONS of poems..........not looking forward to that. I should have my mom bring down all of my old AP worksheets and stuff so that I can compare. AAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!! I can't believe I ruined at college 4.0 because of trombone lessons......I ended up with a 3.9446, but still.........that could've been a big, huge, in-your-face FOUR POINT ZERO BABY!!! On that note, I should go to bed. I worked out all of my room and grade stress through practicing trombone tonight. I havent' played for a loooong time because I didnt' play over christmas. My lip was pretty much nonexistant, but I got it almost back at the end of the session. It should be mediocre for band tomorrow. I feel better about it. I must say though, having a scooter definitly helps my practicing. It's less work to go across campus to the fine arts center and so I don't mind as much and it takes me less time. I think I will practice more because of it. And maybe......JUST MAYBE.....I will have another shot at that 4.0 and raise my GPA even higher. ok............I need to hit the hay. It's really noisy in our dorm tonight because people are coming back and most people don't have class tomorrow...........ick....ok, time to jump on that loft and shut my heavy, heavy eyes.......I've missed this blogging stuff......

back at wartburg only to find out that I DO have to move out. It is with a kid I know, though and it won't be too bad. But it still isn't the best situation. I'm rather bummed out now..........
