Wowzas. Thank the lord for Mytunes Redux! I've always thought it was a bummer that I could play other people's playlists, but I couldn't put them on my iPod. Well there ya go. Now that means I'm going to have to spend another 8 hours going through other people's music library and making mine super sweet.

In other news.......

THIS IS POST #1,000!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!

Can you believe I've had this site long enough to post 1,000 times? Especially since you all know I'm not especially that good with posting sometimes.....wowzas. You'll remember this day forever--the day you read C. Maurice's 1,000th post on his blog. I think this calls for a change in blog title....I'll work on that....

Well I'm excited. I've heard rumors amongst the masses that my column didn't go over too well with the Honor Council folks. Imagine that. Somebody said they're going to write a response in the form of either a letter to the editor or another column. It's about time I've heard some negative responses...I've been waiting for that for a while. Anyway..........

Yet another column has been finished. Check it out here. I may hear some grumblings from people on this one, but I really don't care. I wrote the facts so whatever. My next column is going to be a fluff column 'cause this week is busy and I think there are a lot of columnists for the next issue.

In other news, I had a paper due today at noon. I had work from 10 to noon. I went to bed last night at 1 a.m. with only one paragraph done. I got up at 7 a.m., wrote until 8:45 a.m., edited the 6 pages (Times New Roman, 12 point font, double spaced), and napped from 9 a.m. until 9:45 when I got up and quick got ready for work. I am the king of writing. Kinda. It was a pretty decent paper....it was for my writing major "capstone," which is the name of our senior seminar. Whatever.

Now I'm starting to look at a paper I have due for Thursday's Lit & Film class. I'm analyzing a short story by Hemingway to decide how it would transfer onto the silver screen.

So I was gone all weekend in Davenport, IA for my band's "Run-Out," which is basically like a mini-tour for the non-touring group....where we only played at one venue. Sweet. Kinda. I actually had fun, even though I was staying at the ex-best friend's house (along with two other people). That was a little awkward...and the 2YG did NOT like it, but she let it happen. Most of you know all of that history and if you don't....then too bad, because I don't want to get into it. If it weren't for the beer factor, it wouldn't have that great. Why the beer factor?
1). The ex-best friend's dad apparently has been starved for a fellow beer connoisseur because he was thoroughly enjoying discussing with me what kind of beer the other t-bone player would like to drink. And then he kept it flowing in my direction. I mean, I resisted at first, but by the fourth and last bottle he had it opened and ready before I could even say anything. It was pretty great. It's a little bit of a conflict of interest when I like the ex-best friend's parents, but will never be able to be the ex-best friend's friend again. It just cannot happen.

2). After our concert, the four of us went to Old Chicago and I had the most AMAZING beer ever. Double Chocolate Bock (or was it stout?). It was darker than Guinness. I loved it so much, I got the gianormous mug for my second round. Yup. I can't wait to go back to Old Chicago and order it again. Bam.

Anyway, so I've been gone all weekend leaving Wartburg at 6 on Friday and getting back Sunday at 3. And then I hung out with the 2YG and her friend from South Dakota alllll night long, playing the good boyfriend. And now I'm back in my room. Just starting a paper that's due tomorrow at noon. That I already got an extension from last Friday to Monday. That's worth 20% of my grade. That I'm still not sure what I'm going to write, but I do know that I'm going to be up a while writing it. The good news is, however, that there is no set length....so when I finish my argument, I can wrap it up.

Speaking of wrapping things up, I REALLY need to get started. Below are 3 pictures of my 3 major outfits from the week. I didn't dress up every day because my heel was killing me...but I think I did a good job when I did. Enjoy!

Monday's Outfit. I know all you ladies wish you were the lamp. Booyeah.

Valentine's Day. I went with the more casual sweater with a sport coat and jeans. You like?

This is Thursday's Outfit. Oh yeah. It made me win the first annual "Dress-up Off."
