So I was just watching the news and I saw a story about the semester at sea ship and how it hit some reaaaally bad weather and had to change course and go to hawaii instead of it's scheduled port. And quite possibly my best friend from Rockford is on that ship....and I'm kinda worried about her. I emailed her dad tonight to see if he heard anything else, so we'll see about that.
Another week at work is over. I typed up that story about the weird cemetery lady...I can't remember if i mentioned her or not. I'm waiting on my editor to see what she says about it. For the first time, my name is in print in Westword....although it's only under "editorial interns" but still.....it's there. Next week my first little story will be in it. Yay! And then the week after, I have another, smaller, thing that will be in it. It's just exciting to be published, no matter how trivial the story is.
Tomorrow night I'm going to a Denver University Hockey game versus Alaska. I could really care less about DU hockey, but I'm just excited to go to a hockey game....plus we'll be sitting in the student section. Wahoo!
Back to work news, sorry, but today I was sitting at my desk listening to Pink Flyod, totally emersed in my solitair game....when the editor-in-chief....the total head honcho...the creator of this newspaper....came up behind me and was like...."Corey. You look bored. Come see me." AIIIEEEE! No, but it was really nothing. She just wanted an update on some of the smaller projects I have been working on. And then she wanted an update on the big feature idea I had....that I really hadn't thought about lately....so I made up an excuse not to talk to her about it today.
So yeah.....that about wraps up my update for the week. Hopefully this weekend will bring some cool stories....'cause that post was a little lame, I know. Peace.
