I mean...are you kidding me? Tonight the new overnight dude calls the store at 10:48 p.m. saying he's in the hospital for a back injury he got at his other job (where he's a paint consultant) and he can't come in. Soooo.....that meant the manager had to come in yet again and work the overnight, but me and the other girl working felt bad for him, so we worked until 1 a.m. and that's when the manager came in. So I had to work today from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. Now, I'm not gonna lie...it wasn't that bad, because you all know that I stay up late anyway...but still, it's the principle of the thing. At least I'm getting some overtime this week. KA-CHING!
On a side-note, what's up with the random people leaving me comments that are really advertisements? It's happened twice now, and it's a little annoying. Oh well.
I'm going to complain one more time about the crappy editing job that was done on the newest Harry Potter book. For those of you who have it, turn to page 346 and on the second line, the last word that continues onto to the third line. I had to read the sentence several times before I understood it. In the book it reads "...said Scrimgeour, sounding relieved that Harry had cottoned on so quickly." Cottoned? As far as I know, you can't make the noun "cotton" into a verb. I looked it up to make sure. I think it's supposed to be "caught on so quickly." That's so bad. I can't believe a mistake like that would make it through the editors. Wow. If I were J.K. Rowling, I'd be P-I-S-T.
And that's my rant for the evening.
