Havin a tough day, not gonna lie.

I Overslept -- was supposed to get into work early today, but ended up leaving at the normal time.

Due to the severe cold, my car just about didn't start....turned the key. Nothing. Turned the key and gave it some gas. Nothing. Turned the key and gave it a LOT of gas, and it started up.

On the way to work, my exit was blocked by an accident so I had to go through downtown, making me even more late.

And just now went out to my car to move it out of 4 hour parking, turned the key and nothing. Not even a click. Battery absolutely dead. In my haste this morning, I left my lights on. Unbelievable. Now I've gotta get one of my co-workers to brave the below zero weather with me and jump my car. This is fun. It really is.

And it continues....so earlier this winter when it was really cold like it is now, I had popped open my hood to re-fill the window wash fluid. But when I tried to shut it, it only latch part of the way. You know how when you pop open your hood, it's not all the way open until you reach under and squeeze the little handle? Well my hood would latch that much, but not be all the way closed. After driving to the hardware store to buy rope to tie the stinkin thing shut, I tried again and it finally shut. Through all of that, though, I managed to break the latch inside the car that you pull to pop the hood. Now I need a pliers to work that little "feature."

Fast forward to today. I had to wrangle up a pliers, which we had plenty of -- but only the tiny needle-nosed pliers designed to work on computer equipment, so I had to walk over to our other office and pick up one there. Which actually wasn't too bad because our new office's bathroom facilities are a little tough because they don't have heat, and I had to do a little work in "The Study," so I hit up the old office's luxerious bathrooms for a while. But I digress...

Got the pliers, got the hood open, got the boss to give me a jump, got the car started, did NOT get the hood shut....until I had warmed up the car for 45 minutes. Which put me in an even worse mood. And so I skipped guitar class, which was lame of me. But I just had to be done for the day. No more.

Now I close the day, calming back down with an ice cold Liberty Ale (number 136 on the board) and some pink floyd.

Life is almost back to normal.
