Tonight, after I had dropped off the library weekend work reminder letters at the student center, I turned around and was ready to scooter down the hallway and out the door...when woman came down the stairs. This was after midnight, mind you, and I never see anybody except the person who works at the info desk when I drop off the letters every Tuesday night. But tonight there was this woman....
Her black dress hugged the curves of her body as she glided down the stairs. I couldn't take my eyes off her. My scooter slowly slid from my fingers and landed with a dull clunk on the tile floor.
"Let me get that for you," the mystery woman said and bent over to pick it up for me. My mouth fell open as I caught a glimpse of the edge of her black lace bra, but quickly closed it when she straightened back up again.
"What are you doing here so late," I managed to say, even though my heart was jumping out of my chest.
She grinned a sultry grin and licked her lips. "Oh, just looking around."
I didn't know what to do. Where was she going with this? Before I could respond, though, she turned and walked away. The woman had only walked a few steps, when she turned back to me, winked, and motioned for me to follow.....
Sorry....I got caught up in the moment. No, but this lady really was there and it was weird. And it sucked because I normally enjoy a good scooter ride down the long hallway, but I couldn't because she looked like a person of authority. And I told her that. She was some person from Admissions...but she asked my name, and recognized it from the column page in The Trumpet. It was so random, it really could've been made into some bad sex story. But, alas, she left me at the door and I stared wistfully back at her as she disappeared into the night.
....I'll never forget that woman in the black dress. I can still feel her fingernails clawing at my back; her body convulsing under mine....
