Last night I was lying awake thinking about life, when my mind drifted back to high school and for some reason I remembered Operation BSK. I think only two or three people that read this would remember Operation BSK, so I'll explain it for ya. So Junior year in high school, I was in this weird class that was 2 hours long and was a combination of an English and History course...and we had two teachers. One of the teachers, the English one, was Mr. Schmitt (I think that was his name, at least) and for some odd reason his wardrobe consisted solely of various blue shirts and khakis. He literally wore a blue shirt and khakis everday. After a few weeks, several of us picked up on it and plotted a somewhat elaborate plan to make fun of him. I think we did this while we were supposed to be learning, but the class had so many fun people in it....who could blame us? So me, Jess, Chad Every....um Erin O'Brien maybe....umm....who else was a part of it? I swear there were at least five or six of us because we all sat in the same group. Anyway, we all planned out a day to wear a blue shirt and khakis, and we called it Operation Blue Shirt Khakis (BSK). We had that class late in the day and I remember running into Mr. Schmitt in the hall like 2nd period and we were wearing identical outfits and he complimented me on looking good. I just laughed. And then we all got to class wearing exactly what he was wearing and he was embarressed. It was awesome. And after that he started wearing some other, non-BSK clothes. Success!
Yessssir....that was a good class.
I'm not sure why I felt compelled to post that....maybe because it's only a quarter to 1 and I'm done with everything I had to do today. At around 4 I'm going to head downtown to get some stuff for the trip home...and put some much needed money in my account....I'm carrying around $200 worth of checks in my wallet just because I can never get downtown to the bank before it closes. It's such a hassle. Ok, I should find something to do. Hope everyone is having a great day!
