I just had one of the greatest nights ever, here at Wartburg. It all began at about 6pm this evening when Punkrocker Joe asked me if I wanted to help him with his Art Project. Having absolutely nothing else to do, I agreed. So the project was to take something outside, in nature and then change it with stuff surrounding the area. So we went down to the river and collected sticks and stuff and walked around trying to find a cool place to do this. About 45 minutes later and a ton of walking, we found this super secluted area down on the riverbank. So we did the project and he took pictures of it. As we were walking back from this place and taking some silly pics, we stumbled across a fire pit. hmmmmm.....we thought......we should have a bonfire here one night. Once back to the dorm, it all started to come together. So four of us went down to there with firewood, matches, an ax, a saw, a fire starter, and some food. By this time it was 9pm and pitch black. The fire pit was literally in the middle of nowhere....deep in the woods, but off an old path. It was like straight out of scary movie.....the four of us stumbling around in the dark trying to find this place. Obviously we found it, but not before nearly dying in a sink hole. Literally. Punkrocker Joe sank in up to his hip......it was crazy! So we dug a hole in the sand to make it safe and stuff and got the fire going. It was really slow at first, but was a solid fire and super hot after a while. Two of Punkrocker Joe's friends stopped by for a while and then left. And then Joe's girlfriend came.....and then two more of our friends. Joe lives in Waverly, by the way, so he knows the ropes. So then we spent the night doing misc. stuff around this area and chopping down trees and eating hotdogs and.........just fun stuff. Sweetness. But man, I'm tired! So now I'm just gonna go to bed........this weekend is huge, with tomorrow just having a lot going on and Sunday I'm hopefully going to see Punkrocker Joe perform along with "Beloved"........if you know that group. Alright, I gotta wakeup early for work tomorrow (noon). peace out.
