Ok, first here's Last week's Column. It's a little bit ironic because I'm not going to give money back to the school myself, so I guess I could be called a hypocrit...but it was pretty much impossible to write against the issue when i actually have the facts. So it goes.

Here's This week's column. For all of you non-wartburg folk, Mr. Wartburg is a competition that is pretty much a spoof on Miss America. The point is pretty much to see 4 guys from each year in school (freshmen, soph, juniors, and seniors) make a fool of themselves and whoever has the most points at the end of the night wins. This year it was actually somewhat significant because it was the first time in the competition's history that a black guy won. Craziness.

In other news, I'm not sure if it's just this town or if it's all of Iowa, but there is a frighteningly large amount of crows on our campus. Sometimes when I'm walking back from work in the library, I'll look up at the tops of the trees and see literally hundreds of crows blanketing the trees. It's scary. It's creepy. Crows are evil. Just tonight I was walking back from the 2YG's room and a tree right next to me exploded and huge black mass flew away. I blocked out the moon. It was straight out of a book like The Dark is Rising. In fact, it may give me yet another "dark" story idea. I'm not sure what my problem is. I just wish I could put aside my weekly column writing for a little bit, so my mind can think creatively....instead it's constantly spinning a new way to look at the campus....and actually this next week I'm looking past the campus and writing about the wonderful George W. Bush. We'll see how that goes.
