Weekend Update!
So Friday was the big date with the 4th year girl. I was way excited...we went out to eat in this little tiny place a couple of towns away. The whole reason why we wanted to go there was because we heard they had good steaks. Well, it turns out that it's a place where you choose your own cut of meat (like they have a cooler of raw steaks and you choose which one you want) and then you grill it yourself on a ginormous charcoal grill. That was really fun and a good conversation piece....good first date place. Neither she nor I had ever grilled a steak before, but they turned out really good. So we ate there and then drove around and looked at christmas lights in the area for a while and she showed me some places where she spent the summer trapping animals for a biology project and stuff. And then we went back to her suite where some of her roommates were at and some other friends and then we sat around and drank some brewskis. All in all, I had so much fun. I wish I could be around her next semester, but at the same time I'm excited for Denver.
Saturday was a whole lot of nothing, except for drinking in the evening. This whole weekend has been a big weekend for people in the touring music groups because of a series of concerts called Christmas with Wartburg. Well Saturday night, after their Des Moines concert, a bunch of suites of music people threw a big party called Christmas with Swensen (the name of the manor -- group of suites) and so I went there and had some fun. The only problem was, it didn't start until about midnight and none of my roommates wanted to go there. They all went to house parties around town. I wanted to go to Swensen partly because I knew it would be a lot of fun...but mostly because the 4th year girl was going to be there. So I had to drink by myself for a couple of hours to prepare for the party. I wasn't alone in the room, but i was the only one drinking. So that party was pretty fun...except i really didn't get to hang out with the 4th year girl all that much....which was a bummer.
So that was my fun-filled weekend. What's the future with me and this girl? I have no idea, except we are going out again this weekend :) That makes me happy. Ok, time for a pre-lunch nap. Peace.
