I'm doing a persuasive speech next thursday about lowering the Iowan Gambling age from 21 to 18........I polled the class so far about what they think of gambling and the resounding response was that they don't necessarily agree with it.......here's the problem: I don't really either. The thing is, though, when it's at 21, Iowa kids go to surrounding states to gamble.......Iowa is losing all of this money! In Minnesota, for every $1 sold, 22 cents goes back to the state. 22 CENTS!! Thats a good chunk of it!! This could solve many of their problems!! I still think it will be a tough speech to do, though.....
