ok I'm back. It's tomorrow enough. First of all, let me say this before I make this post. I'm about 6 months away from turning 21. Everyone that reads this thing knows I drink, right? I make subtle hints to it nearly every weekend and if you haven't picked up on it yet, then you're naive. The only reason I don't explicitly say it is because I don't want one of you running to my parents or accidentally mentioning my weekend exploits. You all were in college once (or something close) or are in it now.....would you want YOU'RE parents finding out everything you do? I didn't think so. So don't be stupid and keep this stuff on the D.L. 'Cause from this night/early morning and on, it's pretty much gonna be no-holds-barred. Alright, with that said let me lead up to this next post with telling about a conversation I just had with someone I know on my floor when I went to the bathroom.
me: Dude. I just woke up in my bed. Fully clothed. I don't even remember going to bed.
him: You WERE pretty plastered tonight.
me: Yea....the first two pitchers of margaritas were for 5 people. They had a full bottle of tequila in them. It was all downhill from there.
him: I figured as much. After the second time you came in our room and started asking stupid questions, I saw what was up.
Ha. Yea. I was pretty gone. Ok, so this "night" started at about 3:30 this evening when me and another guy walked to the gas station to get 20 pounds of ice.....and yes, we used it all. The reason I start with this walk is because the other dude is someone I just got to know this semester and he's the kind of guy where you want to be friends with him for your life 'cause he's that cool/fun. Unfortunately, he's transferring to another school next year. Fortunately, it's only 15 minutes away and he's gonna live in a house......can you say party? Yah! So we got back with the ice about 20 minutes later and sit around making various kinds of food waiting for the dude with the blender to get there from UNI (University of Northern Iowa). As soon as he got there, he's like.....we're gonna need more mix and tequila. But first, he made a batch of margaritas. As I said earlier, a full bottle went in and it made two or three pitchers. For those who don't know, thats more than twice as much as the recipe called for. A full bottle of straight tequila would've nearly filled one pitcher. You get what I'm saying? I had two glasses of those (we were drinking out of those classic red plastic cups. You know the ones.) I'm not gonna lie to ya, the first one was a little rough. But it kept getting easier and easier.
Some time in there the game came on....we watched it the whole time, but I never really knew what was going on. We went through 3 bottles of tequila and 3 buckets (don't ask) of mix by the 3rd quarter. Thats when I stopped drinking. That was, what.....like maybe 7? I have no idea how much I had. It was a lot though.
Right now, on campus, there are about 2 girls that I really like.....as in....like.....and one of them was there. She left though after about an hour, 'cause she had homework and wasn't going to drink. After she left, and believe me....I was fightin for her to stay.....I asked her friend (I'm good friends with all of these girls, 'cause they all live together and are in band) if this girl had a boyfriend. Apparently she is "seeing someone" right now. Dangit. I figured as much. But....at least I planted that seed.....planted that seed. The other girl I like on campus also has a boyfriend.....jeez......it stinks. but anyway, I digress.
So the margaritas were done. My liver was done. And shortly after the game was done and the party slowly broke apart. The game got done relatively early and I was faced with the problem of staying awake. I figured I would slowly sober up and maybe I could finish up my last little reading for British Literature. I remember going downstairs and getting some pop. I remember talking with people along the way....but from then on it gets a little fuzzy. Until about an hour ago at 1:oo am, when my roomie came in and accidentally woke me up. I was fully clothed (thank goodness) and in bed. Craziness. So now I'm awake, since I had about a 2 hour-passout time. Somehow I sobered up a ton since that last post.......I actually thought it was way earlier when I posted that, but oh well.
So yup. That was my night. It was full of fun stuff. Here are some good quotes that I remember:
Said by a huge football fan when asked who just kicked off "The bucks, I think."
Asked by me for about the 4th time "Do you guys have a towel? I need a towel." --k that one sucked.
.......................................................................
I don't remember any other ones. Maybe I should've left that out. Oh well, as the days go by, I'm sure more will come back to me in conversation.
k, thats it for tonight. peace out, y'all.
