So yes, another weekend at the "new place" is done. It was a good one. Almost as good as last weekend. Almost. That last post was what somebody said as I walked into the room friday night. It was funny. And it continued to be funny throughout the night. And the next night. Funny how stuff like that happens. At any rate, i would like to share with you one memory from last night. There were many good ones, but this was pretty good. So a friend of a friend was visiting and was hanging out with us (incidentally he went to Brown College in MN and is now at Univeristy of Northern Iowa). So a bunch of us were outside our dorm by this construction area talking/smoking. I don't smoke, obviously, but I didn't want to sit in the room all by myself, so I followed the group outside. And this kid that went to brown was kind of all over the place and he jumped into the chain-link fence that surrounded the construction area. The fence is just a deterent and wasn't attached too well to the poles. So this dude hits the fence in the air, the fence kind of catches him, bends over backwards, and then tosses him over the top. He does a kind of backflip and lands somewhat on his feet. It was amazing.......especially because he thought the fence was solid and was a little freaked out. But wait, there's more. So as we're all laughing and cheering because it was so cool, he thought he should try it again. Of course, he didn't think about what he was doing. Last time, the fence bounced against the poles and threw him up in the air. This time, the fence had nothing to bounce against since the poles were on his side. So this dude gets a running headstart, and does this big exaggerated jump into the fence. It didn't even slow him down. He landed on his side on the cement, his head missing a steel pole by inches. It was awesome. hahahahaha. He claimed it didn't hurt (which I actually kind of believe since I saw someone break a bottle of Cap'n over his head last week.) Still though, wow. He basically did a belly-flop onto the ceeeeement. Ha. k. Bed. peace.
